Dies ist eine Cover-Version vom Sir Douglas Quntit, die damit in den 60ern einen Nummer-Eins-Hit landeten. Stephan Remmler spielte den Song auf seiner ersten Solo-Tournee - zusammen mit einigen anderen Klassikern wie [[Honey Love]], [[Ya Ya]], [[Don't Haha]] und [[Wooly Bully]]. Offiziell erschienen ist Mendocino allerdins nie auf Platte. Die einzige bekannte Aufnahme stammt von einem [[30.05.89_karl-marx-stadt_eissporthalle|privaten Konzertmitschnitt]], der 1989 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (heute Chemnitz) entstand.
